Why We Need Your Support

As music programs across the country continue to face funding shortages and even complete elimination, Lindbergh Schools Band programs are fortunate to have the full support of our Board of Education. However, the program would not be as robust without the continued support from the Lindbergh community as well. Please consider making a donation today to help us maintain and improve all of the Lindbergh Schools Band programs.

Research has shown music education enhances cognitive learning and facilitates growth in many areas of human development including reasoning, creative thinking, decision-making, and problem solving. Young musicians have a distinct advantage over non-music students as they enthusiastically complete their elementary, middle, and high school careers at the top of their class roster, and then predictably head full speed to their college-of-choice. They truly are destined to be “the leaders of tomorrow." (Teaching Music Through Performance in Band series by Tim Lautzenheiser).

Your personal, honorary or memorial donation is tax deductible for either of our two donation options:

  • General Fund
  • Heuer Memorial

Bandstanders is an independent not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Our mission is to support the Lindbergh Schools Band Program under the guidance and direction of the Director of Bands, with a specific focus on fundraising support, equipment logistics, uniform maintenance, travel assistance, and other additional roles as needed.

Much of the work done through Bandstanders is accomplished with the generous time and dedication of teachers and parent volunteers, along with monetary support from donations and student band fees. Donations can be directed to the general operating fund, the Spiegelman Endowment Fund (see section to the right) or the Heuer Memorial Fund which has been established in memory of band parent Craig Heuer. Donations to the Heuer Memorial Fund will be directed to a specific project to be determined in the future. Please indicate on the payment portion of the donation process your fund preference. We appreciate your consideration of the opportunity to help cultivate leadership, teamwork, confidence, discipline, sustained work ethic and craftsmanship within our students through their participation in the Lindbergh Band Program.

We are always looking for additional partners to help us continue our programs at the lowest possible cost to student families. We appreciate your consideration of the opportunity to help cultivate leadership, teamwork, confidence, discipline, sustained work ethic, and craftsmanship within our students through their participation in the Lindbergh Band Program.
